Frank Lo

The Groom

Frank grew up in Lexington, Massachusetts, and went on to attend college at MIT. Upon graduating in 2008, Frank went on to work in strategy consulting, and is currently heading up the data science group at Wayfair. He currently lives in Boston and attends church in Chinatown at BCEC.

These days, Frank enjoys snowboarding, poker, rock climbing, and hobby coding.

Amy Yu

The Bride

Amy grew up in Southern California and came to the east coast to attend college at Boston University.
She currently still resides in the Boston area and works as a team lead at a nonprofit organization that helps individuals with disabilities. Amy also plays a very active role in helping to organize community events at her church — BCEC Chinatown.

Katherine Shao

Matron of Honor

Katherine has been one of Amy's closest friends for nearly nine years, having actually lived together as roommates for five of those years. From their early days of experiencing college life together, all the way through growing up and celebrating big moments in life like getting engaged and getting married, their friendship has always been constant and dependable. When Katherine got married recently, Amy was more than honored to serve as a bridesmaid on Katherine's special day.

Katherine completed her doctorate at BU in 2009 and now works in the greater Boston area as a physical therapist.

Lisa Siswanto

Bridesmaid

Lisa is one of Amy's best friends from college at Boston University. Always easygoing and fun-loving, Lisa is the type of person whose presence can brighten up anyone's day. Her warmhearted friendship with Amy has been the source of so many great memories from college and beyond.

After BU, Lisa completed her M.D. at the University of Oklahoma, where she is currently a pediatric resident at the Tulsa campus.

Betty Ho

Bridesmaid

Betty and Amy became great friends at the young adult church fellowship at BCEC. Betty's ultra-quirky personality is one reason for her awesomeness, but what also makes her special is the genuine excitement and passion she has towards causes she believes in to the core. Whether just fun times hanging out or having deeply thought-provoking discussions, Amy has definitely felt blessed to have Betty around as a friend.

Betty is getting her MBA at Yale, and is continually active in pursuing her passions to improve our education system.

Chase Sham

Best Man

Chase has really stepped up and become Frank's right-hand bro in the post-college years. He has been an incredibly loyal and reliable buddy that Frank could always count on to raise the stakes and keep life fun and exciting — definitely need to raise a glass to all the good times over the years.

Chase earns a living running multiple doctor's offices around Boston. In his free time, he enjoys riding motorcycles, snowboarding, and hustling at poker.

Mark Vayngrib

Groomsman

Mark was one of the first people Frank met at MIT and from the beginning has been one of Frank's tightest friends through college — lots of memorable times as roommates.

Mark, the man, is the real 'most interesting man in the world'. He is a guitar-rocking chess ninja, Russian all the way and speaks better Chinese than most Chinese people.

Since college, he has blazed his own path — after starting a band in Texas, he went off to live in Beijing, and has since become a legend in China.

Bo Zhu

Bo and Frank go all the way back to high school. In fact
at this wedding Bo is the honorary representative of 'the bruddhas' — a tight crew of friends that grew up together in the town of Lexington, MA. Bo himself is one of the most genuine and trustworthy people you'll ever meet. He also hails from MIT and definitely shares the same types of nerdy predispositions as Frank.

Bo currently lives in Cambridge, MA, and is pursuing a joint MIT-Harvard Ph.D in Health Sciences Technology.

Ray & Lillian Yu

Parents of the Bride

Ray and Lillian Yu currently reside in California. They have spent their free time lately traveling the world, organizing key projects to help build schools in China, and waiting for grandkids (eek!)

Michael Yu

Brother of the Bride

Michael is Amy's older brother. He is a business entrepreneur currently living in Hong Kong.

Lawrence Lo & Grace Yang

Parents of the Groom

Lawrence and Grace currently reside in Lexington, Massachusetts, in the suburbs of Boston, and both have careers in engineering. They are very eager to welcome Amy as part of the family.

Doris Lo

Sister of the Groom

Doris is Frank's younger sister. She graduated from Tufts University in 2011 and is currently working in Boston in the financial industry.

Eric is Amy's little cousin.
He is a singer, dancer, and all around 1st grade heartthrob.
